I might be mistaken, but Kurdish dance seems to share form with Hindu traditional dance.
Either way, it looks like a lot of fun.
As a Jew, it fills me with great shame that our people have no rhythm. Ask us to file your taxes and we move our pencils with grace, but ask us to do the macarena and we fall over.
Thats why Jews always dance in a cicle, by leaning on each other we are able to stay on our feet. :)
Has anyone ever seen Arabic dancing? I was SHOCKED!!! Its honestly the most sensual form of dancing I have ever seen. Very difficult to perform as well. I was tres impressed.

That's exactly what we do. I don't know the dancing styles of the Jews so I'll be gratefull if you show me a clip or a picture.
The following has a few pictures of Jewish Kurds in Israel dancing in a Kurdish style.

Here is an example of what Jordan is talking about.
But I have rhythm, so don't buy his blanket statement about Jews.

Don't listen to Bacon... Cartman is right, Jews have no rhythm :)
I remember the blood bath that was my Jewish summer camps dance party. So many feet stepped on, so many biteplates lost.

Thanks for the clip AJ.
I'm going to add another clip to my post.

Also check out the classic, "Fidler on the Roof". Bacon, its a dumb question to ask if you have seen it, right?
-
Of course I've seen Fiddler on the Roof. I saw the movie and I also saw the live version in Toronto at Massey Hall (I think) back in 1990.
-
If it ever comes back I will definately see it. Although so far, Les Misreable is the ONLY play I have ever liked... I cry every time I see it.
Believe it or not, Fidler on the Roof is my gf's parents absolute favorite movie.
I asked them if they knew it was about Jews :) They actually see their traditional Persian culture as being very simular.

These videos are very interesting and fun to watch. Thanks for posting them!
-
Totally off topic, but have you guys seen Les Mis?
